A sneak peak at the epic encounter 2 Matriarchs Across 2 Centuries & Worlds apart … what could they possibly have in common to be stuck together for all eternity? – Inside the new creative genre … the MultiMedia MicroEpic
Pitri Paksha to the Ancestral Muse
It’s Pitri Paksha, time to honour the ancestors
I siddong quiet quiet, thoughts turn to the creator
I light a deeya, recite an ancient mantra
To still the wandering soul, I offer jal to Surya.
As Her Majesty close her eyes, my thoughts on Ma, the Maharani
Nonagenarians now together, beyond sea sky and we.
Shraadha of Sun Set on the Empire
Eyes closed, forgive me, I didn’ see 4000 in the Abbey, 5 billion on ‘tube, ‘net ‘n’ TV
Millions line the streets, to watch Queen Lizzie final journey
From Balmoral to Buckingham, they perform Christian Shraadha
Turn casket East, North, West, South, Dear Liz final surrender
Stiff upper lips stifle King Charlie tears for he dear Mamma
The actress let one lose. Behind black veiled trolls snicker – ‘for the Monarchy, I gather!’
Swan Song of the Commonwealth
In solemn reverence came emperors, princes, kings, governors, all
To bow in supplication, ‘All Hail Her Majesty! We so small, she stood tall!’
Ten million £ (pounds) in one day buried with Head o’ the Common-wealth
When three billion subjects live poorly, no school, no water, in poor health
In Shraadha, the Sun solemnly move from North to Southern hemi-spire
After 35 K sun rises o’er spires, now sinks Surya ‘o’er the once-Empire
Opening of the Third Eye
I deep so in thought, third eye pop open without concentration
Lo and behold, Mouse creep up ‘n’, crawl right into my vision
I know at once who that was, Ancestor! Who can deny?
Nine months gone, I turn my eye up up high high, up to the sky!
So she come back! ‘Mousie Mousie! Is you gyul long time no see’
‘Mousie Mousie’ I call out how the neighbours call she, to Ma, the Maharani.
Creative Celestial Cosmic Dance
‘Mousie Mousie, you was in a big big hurry, me dear gyurl
You leave the pyre, fly off as Ganesh’s Charioteer, tail uncurled
You gone quick quick, no backward glance.
Why, gyul? You didn’t wait with we to jump and prance.
Mousie Mousie you ‘fraid you would miss the chance?
To be a part of Shiva’s creative celestial cosmic dance?
To Rise with the Sun ‘n’ Ride With the Same
Like witless King Cole ‘n’ the mimic Abbot did you with the sun sail ancient routes
Beyond Commonwealth, indenture, slave ‘n’ silk path did you scoot
Past ancient primeval prehistoric precolonial truths
Reversing direction of colonial travel, to boot!
‘Cross the Pacific, through vast Oceans South
Leaving this world for worlds beyond, I have no doubt.’
The Epic Quest for Where Knowledge Lives
‘Whey we go from here?’ Mousie you used to ask
You promise to come back to tell me, so now rise to the task
You fight so hard to hold on to every last breath
I thought you would win that battle, you know, your wrestle with death
Mousie Mousie, look your chair, now you know, tell me, what you see this year?
Mousie, Mousie, tell me nah, Where we go when we leave here?’
The Mouse’s Tale
In chitter, chatter, scrape scrape, the mouse squeaked,
Up till then I didn’t know I could interpret Mouse-speak
‘Squeak squeak, I go far, far, o’er Nap’rima fields of yam potato ‘n’ corn
‘Ain’t I tell you gyul, I would pass Yama, come back, to say where I gone.
‘Squeak Squeak, with the wind I did soar from Shore o’ Peace pyre for true
‘Squeak Squeak,’ she recount, ‘I ascend the eternal blue.’
Pepper Hot Picong
‘Mousie, Mousie,’ I plead, ‘tell me where you been? Sonia Mouse!’
I call she by the name they call she round the house
Sharply, hotly, ‘You damn farse asking me where I been
‘Guess nah,’ she squeak soften, ‘you wouldn’t believe who I seen!
‘Squeak Squeak,’ she tongue still so quick and sharp as a whip!
‘I been to England, gyul to see the Queen,’ she quips.
Knowing what curiosity does
Like a cat my interest spark, my curiosity arouse
I lie low ,a Brobdingnag with Gulliver, looking closer at Mouse.
‘Mousie Mousie, tell me more, tell me ‘bout the Queen!
‘Mousie Mousie, tell me nah, tell me how she? How you been?
‘Well, in truth, is Her Majesty who come to visit me, the Maharani!’ Mouse wink!
Drama queen, pepper-mouth, she mock-bow and she continue to blink
Roasting & Toasting promised up yonder
Again, I ask, ‘Mousie, Mousie, what you do there?’
Thinking of the roasting & toasting abrewin. Erstwhile Queen, beware!
I kneel-down low to peer closer, to hold she in a stare
‘Aaray Baap Ray gyul, ‘course, I frighten she Majestic Highness she jump up on a chair!
‘Chitter Chatter Squeak Squeak,’ she keep up a chuckle
Poking ‘n’ joking, she tap tap a dru- beat code on my knuckle
The Storyteller’s Wife
Like story telling Pa she know how to build suspense.
Tormenting and teasing, my curiosity grow so immense.
‘I see when Liz enter, she look round, a lil bit in fear
‘Like she not sure if she came up, or went under, down there!
‘You looking for someone? I move to she, near
‘She frighten and lost, I could see, that was clear.’
Blue blazing beckoning Hell Fires
‘Up, you say?’ she say. She eyes light-up in relief.
Terrified of the hell fires of she Christian beliefs.
‘Hell takes many forms, I’m here as your guide,’ I remind.
She look ‘round the blue darkness, blue eyes open wide.
‘Tell me please! You see him?’ She fix on me a stare!
And then, as expected, walk right in my lair!
In she bedroom, Philip My Dear
‘I enjoying she squirming, I continue to play.
Who you looking for, you sure he come up this way?
Majesty pajesty, feel like it’s your bedroom, here we don’t stand in flair
You mean you looking for that lingay gent? Fagan or Tony Blair?
She look so bewildered, she wipe off a tear
‘Don’t be daft,’ she say crossly, ‘I’m looking for Philip, My Dear
He Lingay like he but …
Squeak Squeak, Mouse chuckle: ‘Yuh Mister, you mean! he gone the next way
‘My Mister too, doh mistake them, eh. He jus so! Lingay!’
I decide to ease up as she face turn ash grey
Remembering my role as Ganesha’s gondolier
‘Hop on,’ I tell she. ‘Time for your tour.’
‘Come aboard my chariot, a revisit, your life’s replay!
Ungilded Discoverie of Raleigh’s El Dorado
And so squeak squeak a- chitter a-chatter
Ungilded she told of guiding HRH through history’s clutter
‘Cross the galaxies, suns, moons, stars, to the vast Oceans South
I take the once-Majesty to Raleigh’s Dorado Discoverie route
Beyond indenture, slave, silk paths to witness bare colonial truths
Retracing Commonwealth paths of HRH pirates, marauders loot to boot!
Mission to Boom-up History
Squeak Squeak, gyul. I must go now, return to the task
To rewrite the future, to unveil and boom boom mash-up history’s mask
I ask, ‘I have these letters take them to Liz for me nah Mouse
They filled with rewrites to correct history’s grouse.”
‘Steups! I not your postman! Find your own, marn, post haste!
My Commonwealth mission awaits, at yon pearly gates!’
I siddong in silence, thinking how appropriate
The heavenly guide for Dear Liz is a so called illiterate
Mind unschooled, uncluttered by Macaulay’s minuted education
A tour of life’s truths unadorned, saved from miseducation’s pollution!
I bid Mouse farewell, ‘Good to see you, please do come again!’
Impatiently waiting the Nonagenarian’s updates on she cat ‘n’ mouse train!
At Last a Kingsley Christmas for she Majesty
Squeak squeak, wink wink, she take off into the night
A mission assigned, straight on, the Maharani in full flight
For unschooled Lizzie, a Kingsley Christmas treat, At Last, no better teacher
To open Liz eyes to centuries of ravishes of Empire
I look at my lap topped with the Letters to Lizzie, the doctrines therein.
And reroute the address, to her next Commonwealth kin.
