The cultures of Latin America and the Caribbean are intricately interwoven with global indigeneous cultures of the and the migrant cultures from across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa and North America and Canada.
The available cultural knowledge, intelligence, memory and resources are equally scattered across the globe.
Much of our cultural resources are also inaccessible in private or otherwise secluded collections or repositories.
Indeed, much of which are in public collections too are further inaccessible through language and linguistic barriers, limited digitisations and fast changing technologies.
To exacerbate this are misinterpretations and misrepresentations of histories. These have clouded and shrouded understandings and inaccuracies continue to be replicated through education systems, museum displays and interpretations.
