Happy International Lefthanders Day! Here are the top three reasons science celebrates the artistry of lefthanders and why you should too!
Though it is still very much a mystery to science of why some of us, just about 10 percent of the world’s population, are left handers, neuroscientists agree that the top three factors that make left handers special are:
1. Creativity: Known for enhanced creativity and innovative thinking, scientists believe our brain structure contribute to more divergent thinking and ability to approach problems from unique angles.
2. Artistic Inclinations: Many famous artists, musicians, and writers are left-handed pointing to a potential connection between left-handedness and art.
Additionally lefthanders are known for highly developed imagination, daydreaming and intuition. and demonstrate highly developed skills of rhythm and visualization!
3. Multitasking: That Left-handers have better multitasking abilities is backed by science with an additional and increased connectivity between hemispheres.
