I am thrilled to be presenting at the Google Women Techmakers and Women in Tech Caribbean annual International Women’s Day Caribbean Tech Summit 2022.
My presentation at 3.30 pm Wednesday (Port of Spain, Atlantic Time, April 20 2022) will feature in the session Take the Lead: on current and upcoming Caribbean professionals, companies, projects & initiatives expanding Caribbean digital ecosystems and/or our global digital footprint.
It would also participate in the panel discussion on Climate Action Sustainability & Technology Progress Round Table.
Amidst growing pressure for a new global order that accommodates equity and equality for the developing world, small island states, my presentation will address how the Covid 19 Pandemic has challenged social systems to create a new normal into the Post Pandemic Planet.
Education, media and culture – traditionally three forms of social engineering that have existed in silos, are now being forced to integrate in novel ways to meet the challenge. How can traditional and conventional gaps be bridged?
I will present my experience and experiments and innovations in breaking the silos to create a integrated models, modules and material that combine indigeneous and formal education in diverse societies like ours.
It will draw on insights and experience in working to increase space for women in leadership through global to local efforts at bridging the gaps between formal and non-formal education for lifelong learning. It will confront ongoing dichotomies in the delivery of arts and science education to advance an an inclusive approach to education from pre-school to policy making.
It will include previews of the MultiMedia MicroEpic Biopic, One Night To Bloom, and Mother Continent and other elements of the new creative genre I am developing, that adapt the long form conventional epic for new social media.
My presentation will also showcase several novel models and modules I am developing that unite the arts and sciences for interconnecting education/academia, culture and gender sensitive forms through new media for social re-engineering, change and transformation. These include Story Science which incorporates a new blended learning framework for curriculum reform that favours seamless sensitive engagement with core principles of the sciences, social sciences, culture, communications and arts,
I will also share the challenges for market breakthroughs and accessing content platforms from small island states, developing world and underserved regions.
